Katey Besser

Katey Besser is a dancer and choreographer from Los Angeles, California. She is currently a fourth year student pursuing a BFA in Dance and BS in Movement Science.  During her time in the Department of Dance, she has performed in works choreographed by Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, and Charli Brissey for the Department of Dance’s annual Power Center Show as well as various BFA and MFA capstone projects.  Katey co-produced a senior dance concert titled “midst of a moment” and co-produced a show during her junior year titled “Close is Never Close Enough: Exploring Intersectional Identities” for the club Arts in Color. Katey has been seen sharing her story through dance in a video with Channel Kindness, a project of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.  Throughout her time at Michigan, Katey has found great joy in collaborating with other artists and looks forward to continue sharing her passion for dance.
